You got your wife to tell you she is unsure of what she wants and that she doesn't know how to get her feelings for you back (I could have told you that) and a glimpse of her skinny butt?Cat Whisperer? Before you go trying the Robx speech next go to the Piggly Wiggly and get some cat litter for a little traction on that ice your tires are spinning on....
I know most of us are far too stressed to appreciate witty lines, but for some reason I re-read SM's post today and couldn't help laughing.
Had a good night. When I came home, W apologized for reading my emails. Said she wasn't looking so much at what my mom was saying, but wanted to know what I was telling people. I had suspected that was really the case.
I think this is true.

She also apologized for the lingerie show; said she didn't mean to be a cocktease
Oh please ... of COURSE she did!

I told her that I was going dancing on Thursday night, and that I wanted her to come with me.
Better: "I'm going dancing on Thursday night; you're welcome to come, if you'd like." (see the difference?)
Oh, I knew she was teasing. And she loved doing it, as well as enjoying my obvious attention. Sometimes though, agreeing is the better course of action.

I see the difference and it's confusing. the first one sounds like he's leading, taking control.
The second is giving her a decision.
Woman like both, right?
I'm I reading this wrong??

And sometimes, better STILL is using confident, strong male humor:
"Oh please, sure you did. Hey, I NEVER mind the view, but c'mon, I didn't fall off the boat yesterday!"

For a guy who usually disagrees with a lot of the straight DB dogma, I was just going with the straight DG dogma here. We are taught by MWD to offer invites structured this way: "Me adn the kids are going _________; you're welcome to join us."

If you had seen the smile on my face while she was apologizing, you would have understood that literally, I was tongue in cheek. (oh, that sounds really bad/good)

And don't forget the Pinhead Strategy; listen to lots of sound advice, choose none of the above, yet claim to be Doing The Right Thing.
For some reason, I'm in a really good mood the last three days.
Well, you DID compare it to the Maginot line. Seems like a lot of similarities when you spell it out like that.
Glad to hear you're not just writing, but that it's the novel at which you toil. And if you're doing it by hand, TOIL is the operative word. Whatever happens, you better stick around this site long enough for me to mooch my copy off you.
Cheers pal.
