This is just an old house, so I do need to make the hole larger. It is the darn "panel" lock system that is in the door that is going to give me the problems. It is a deadbolt if that helps to explain what I am talking about. So when I take the lock out and go to put the cylinder in the door, there isn't anything there to support it. I don't know if the lock itself would be enough or if I need to get a piece of wood cut slightly smaller to put in the door to screw that in to.
