He's crying out for help. He DOES need a psychiatrist. He's hurting. He wants to be a good father, he loves this little miracle, but she scares the sh!t out of him and all he can do is run away.

His other big issue right now is unemployment. Men's self-esteem takes a big hit when they're unemployed, and between that, his MLC, his relationship with you, etc., he's feeling like a BIG failure.

Step #1 for him before you let him back into your sphere is counseling. If/when he contacts you about getting back together, tell him to get help. He has demons to slay before he sees his daughter again.

I say cut him off at the knees and bounce all his emails and phone calls until he gets his own counselling

Yes, I need to protect and care for myself and my baby. Learning more about that in the book "Put Your Big Girl Panties On". (I posted more about that in my Newcomer's thread).

Right now I believe these letters are unhealthy (for me & maybe for bub) so I will find a way to nicely put a stop to them.

Off to my child/mother psychiatrist today. Will show him the letter and see what he thinks.

H's action are misguided if not ill intended. He really needs to sort out his issues with the help of a profesional, not continue to expose them to me and our 3 month old .
