Seems excessive doesn't it.
I didn't even know what the gift was, but didn't like that he seemed to be insisting on me setting aside an hour for him to 'help' me set it up. 'Gifts' which require the recipient to accept help/control, don't feel good.
I just told him I was pretty busy, so if he wanted to drop it by, that was fine, and I could perhaps ask for help later if needed.
