Hey Mishka, thanks for checking out the gallery in the Alt. That's church_31 -- and unfortunately her boyfriend.

I won't see her again until October when the church group starts its Thursday night meetings. Church_31 actually is taking over the group because the leader got married and doesn't want to keep leading a singles group.

Perhaps the D will be done by then and perhaps church_31's BF will be too. Is it bad to root for the R to fail?

We've been emailing back and forth today. She's losing her job in October. We were talking this summer and she was thinking of going to cosmetology school. Then she mentioned how much she loves nutrition. I suggested going back to become a nutritionist -- it seemed like a more lucrative career -- and she sent me a message that she took my suggestion and is going back to school for that field.

So I jumped in with unsolicited advice and here it worked. So sometimes helping people pays. It's very confusing.

CTH,
I'm sorry about your bad day and how hard it still is to let go. But the Cavalry charged in as always and you got some great support and feedback.
Hang in there.

Peace,

G, I thought of something this morning. I am going to be OK no matter what is thrown at me. In fact, I'm actually going to be great because of:

1) my girls. I won't fail them.

2) my church. There's so much to do and so many people to see. As long as I keep going it'll keep me on message and on track.

3) my friends. They've been there for me at every turn.

4) my family. I'm closer to them than I have been in years.

5) this site. It's my online diary -- with active feedback. You can't beat that.

I know you are half joking... but in my opinion, yes, it's bad. I was dating a woman, I knew she was dating other guys, but I also was pretty sure that we were headed somewhere. I think she was too. Then she told me she was going another direction (tears in her eyes, by the way). I had to tell her I hoped he was great. I admit to having hopes that maybe it doesn't work, but then I realize that if I really like her, I just can't do that.

Now Jeff, it isn't fair for you to play the grown-up. lol It means you like her. I also think that if you keep contact it will help. Just keep your options open. Maybe someone just as great or better is around the corner. smile

We will all be okay in time. It's very easy to become all jumbled over the course of a day when *something* sort of hits you in the face. In a way maybe it's not so bad or even BETTER if we (generally speaking) sort of purge it all. For me that has been a very good way to sort of start a new day off on a much better footing.

Somebody on this forum has a quote in their signature that essentially says every day is another chance to get it right. The beauty of all of this is WE get to decide what is right based on how we choose to live our lives from here on out!

Went golfing for the last time this year this morning. It's time to use my free time to either earn money or perhaps more importantly not spend it.

Thoughts of STBXW's S.D. trip kept intruding on my peace in the round. I kept humming "Let it go" to myself, repeating the mantra "it's a marathon not a sprint" and focusing on the weekend we've set up. Softball tourney out of town with girls -- hotel stay, yeah. Got a deal. Just $35 bucks a night at a Marriott.

Movie Sunday night with D11 -- Vampires Suck. Then swimming at uncle's house on Monday for last day of summer break with girls and coworker's daughters.

Then an email from STBXW this morning when I got into work. She's saying the SBA still won't deal with her on the second mortgage. This after I talked to them last week and had documents sent to me showing she is on the loan.

She threatened them with closing the account the money is taken out of and making them contact "us" for the money.

Personally, I don't really care. If she messes around with the SBA, they'll take the house. To me, that's her business. Yes. It will hurt my credit rating. My goal is to not need credit in the future.

I will make one more call.
