My friend that went with me hasn't been divorced. she didn't see "Liz" as selfish but I so agreed with the husband and the points he made. Italy was Italy. Who wouldn't love it? India is nothing without a man named Richard. Bali, is Bali. It seems simple there but has complicated undertones. I am still not a big fan of Liz but the movie got me thinking. Which I guess is always good for a thinker like myself.
However I am reminded of the Wizard of Oz...if it wasn't in your back yard, you really haven't lost it anyway. You can find yourself anywhere. You don't need to travel to do it. So I tend to feel like she was running away. Fear has a way of doing that to you.
