PH can be polite but not over the top. Women do love chivalry, it shows men care, but Gucci is right... we REALLY love chivalrous behavior when we are INTO you. If a man is going out of his way to open every day, incessant calling, a million invitations out and we're not *that* into him, then we are turned off (mostly).
PH I don't think it was wrong of you to open the door for her but don't bend over backwards to please her if she seemingly has one foot out the door. If she doesn't *like* you to open doors, then don't do it. You would be better off doing something small for her related to something she likes.
That is good you are going to the conference if it's something you normally don't do. A 180. Be cool and calm when you go.
