The counselor told me that he totally sees what I'm talking about in my h. From the questions he asked h, it was apparent he has no idea how to love someone. My h even said that when he asked me to marry him the kids were not a factor in his decision...only that HE was ready, it was what HE wanted to do....no mention of love. The c said that my h needs several weeks of individual counseling....because he just does not see how his dealings with the past have led him to shut down...so much so that he can't be loving to his wife or kids.
I made my own individual appointment and now must call h to give him the c's phone # to set up his own appt. now that is scary...will h call and go ALONE? He may bolt!!!! I told the c but he assured me that from the first appt he determined what NOT to say so that h would not shut down. C learned how to deal with Jeff now will adjust c accordingly. Wow, lots was accomplished yesterday!
I'm still amazed at God's handiwork! The pastor was right that God who never sleeps can change a situation literally over night! So don't loose faith...as you slumber God works! Pray about it!
