I appreciate the kinds words and the prayers. It is still a long road, but I will be okay I am sure. She will bring an attorney for the next hearing I assume, and I will be with mine too.
I am still a little shaky and numb inside, but it will be alright. I am stronger and more prepared than I thought.
Thanks again for posting to me. You are helping me to get through this difficult time in my life along with everyone else here.

I know you don't feel like jumping for joy right now but this is great news! Good for you! I know it's not the same as getting your W and M back and will take time to digest that it is, in fact, gone. Still, as worried and scared as you were that everything would go her way, this is a big deal, a confidence builder.
Don't get cocky or righteous. Hold your head high knowing that you stood up for yourself and the kids and you were not looked upon as a leech or anything other than what you are: A good dad and a good person who was forced to make choices he didn't want to make. And you made the right ones by fighting for what was right!
Congratulations and don't be so hard on yourself for not feeling like celebrating. This still sucks on so many levels. You still have your kids and you KNOW they won't be taken away from you.
Take care and keep fighting for what is right. Love your kids and help them through this.
This is a big confidence builder for me. There are still so many issues that I face in this. I need the job ASAP. I guess I could survive on this amount that I was awarded but barely. I will just take it one day at a time for now.
Thanks for the support, and I have to keep fighting for the kids.

I wish I could relax, but I have to think of findind a new place to call home because she is already looking. This takes some money from what she will be able to afford though. She will not be so happy either. I have some ideas on what to do from her on out. I have to do it.
It is still a long road ahead for me in this whole ordeal.
Thanks for being here.

Great news LSG!!! I KNEW things would get better for you. Does she have to give you any spousal support so you can feed yourself and the kids?
Congratulations and BE HAPPY. This is a GREAT step in the right direction. It may not be what you want at the moment, but it is what you have to do. No choice but to keep moving forward.
I am so happy for you. You deserve this so much!!!!!
I did get a little spousal support with a stern find a job from the judge. I knew that would happen. I want a job more than anything. I did make some calls today. I suprisingly found a lead today. It is very low pay, but I could manage it I think.
I won this round, but there is still more to go in this process. I will survive somehow.
I could have a roof over my head for that amount, but I will barely have anything else.
I am happy, but I am still worried about the money aspect for a place to live for me and the kids.
I will find a way.
Thanks for being here for me.

It is so little that I will be getting from her. It will be just a couple hundred dollars for food and anything else. It will be a roof, but I will have to make sure that I have money for the kids food, not mine. It will not be much different from now untill I have employment.
I had a lead, but they already had someone in mind for the position.
Will I ever have a break. I need the job now.

It seems you have been out of the workforce for some time. Are you applying for jobs that are within your reach given your lack of current experience? I understand you have to make a living wage but at this point I would think you need to start looking for jobs and not careers. Why not take a night job in a restaurant or something. I was a waitress for years and actually made really good money. If you can find a job to earn money perhaps you can use your days to take internships that would get your "career skill set" more current and appealing when you are interviewing. I don't know what field you are looking for work in but it sounds like you need to find *any* work to bring in some money AND brush up on your skills in your area of interest. Google some local groups or events in your field and try and attend one weekly. Read blogs and industry publications EVERY day in your field. Download webinars and podcasts and start looking for opportunities that might not pay but will get you more current. But in the meantime take *anything* so you can earn money and get yourself in more marketable shape.
You can do this!
At this point I would guess taking a risk on somebody who has been out of the workforce for some time would be more likely if you at least could show you are employable.
