Find a family member or friend who will put you guys up until you find a place... if you offer them rent then they may accept.. many people need some extra $$ these days.
It's better you are paying a friend or family member rent than putting rent into a home with HIM
His idea of the hard way is you standing up for yourself...
And yes, if you want your dignity and confidence back you want the hard way... Pay him no mind, he's just trying to scare you.
