Sure she was. Just what his girlfriend wants is to have another woman competing for attention. So how come you weren't invited then?

I wasn't invited because it was 10pm and our son was asleep in our home. Although I'm sure it'd be alright to bring my son to a bar at 10pm, I'm not quite sure it would be appropriate wink

I told her that one of my transparency boundaries would be that neither one of us is to meet up with anyone the other spouse hasn't met and approved of definitively.

Mr Eastwood's wife would want to stay home with him and have sex....

If Mrs Eastwood would be disrespectful and talk about going to go see another man, Mr Eastwood would go out, leave his wife to take care of the children....

Then he would have gotten drunk and shot everyone at the bar. Oh wait that was Unforgiven wink

But seriously, whether it's John Wayne or Clint. All women want to feel special and want a man that fights for her.

Next time you would tell her how you really feel. "I'm not going to stop you from going, but I'd prefer spending time with YOU" - then a little GUILT never hurts. considering she said one of her reason was you NOT spending time with her and your son. Go on to say "ESPECIALLY since you mentioned how important our time is together..."

This is a tough one if you are trying not to appear NEEDY. But at the same time. Reverse the situation with you meeting up with a girlfriend. How would she have reacted? Im guessing like a detective. In order for this TRUST to work it NEEDS to be about MUTUAL TRUST and RESPECT.

Goal for today/tonight:

Finish the transparency talk early, because we agreed to it. Then, GAL all night long.

I need to go to my shop and work on some things. Maybe finally fix the 1982 John Deere riding mower I have. I definitely need to fix the weedeater. Maybe listen to some loud music out there... drink a few beers.

It's all about me tonight after S4 goes to bed. Before then, I'm going to enjoy being super dad.

Considering all that's gone on in your marriage recently, John, don't you think that a more appropriate boundary would simply be

"Neither one of us is to meet up with someone of the opposite sex except with both of us there as a couple"? confused

The way you have it set up now will forever put you in a case-by-case "Judge's seat," having to make a "ruling" every time, and it will be NO-WIN for you. Rule in favor, you're a weak cuckold. Rule against, you are "controlling."

John, your wife isn't going to test you with THE REAL THING (another man with whom she is having, or WANTS to have, an affair). She's going to test you with a beta, to see how you respond.

Either way, you failed the test.

Not bad puppy, not bad. But, there a few select people that are of the opposite sex that I'm OK with her meeting up with. They are mutual friends of ours. I think that's what I was trying to convey with the "we both approve of" part of it.
