I always had thought that the seat belt usage demonstration was a waste, but I sat next to a guy once who was trying to connect 2 female belt ends together.
I like to watch the mob reaction of passengers. When they make the first call to board the plane, most of them cant wait to get on board. And when the plane stops at the gate and they turn off the seat belt sign, it seems like most are in a hurry to get off. And if they do get off quickly, they still have to wait at the baggage claim area. I refer to these people as the "hurry up and wait crowd".
Remember, your seat cushion can be used as a flotation device.
