This makes me so angry when we stick it out week after week, trying to help a person get through their personal he!!, then just as it is about to go one way or the other.....whap! They stop posting and we never know what happened. We don't know how they are doing or anyone else in the family.

Just thought maybe someone had heard from him on FB or somewhere. I haven't been able to get that stitch out of my mind.

I think that was about the last thing I told him....not to stop posting. He was so down and sounded like he was ready to give up. I really hoped he would start another thread after the moderator closed it, but guess he didn't have the strength to continue. frown

I keep hoping he'll come back with some good news.

If he has a whole lot of good news and has moved on, what's the incentive for posting here?

I think I saw him make a post to QuickSilver's thread a short while ago?

Call me an optimist, but I prefer to think that he is far too busy having far too much fun to bother posting here right now.

If he truly appreciated everyone's time that was spent in trying to help him,(like he often stated), then I would think he'd let us hear from him. I have had people to come back and find my thread and just say hi and tell me how they're doing. That is a great feeling to know they still give a little credit to the DB board for helping them.

Anyway, I was still concerned about Ken.

It is unfortunate. You get to where you genuinely care about people here, and to then just not know what happened/how they are is strange!

The beauty of this online community is the strength you gain from it as well as the push towards the right behaviors when you don't feel like employing them. It's kind of like you then owe it to yourself and to others to pay it forward when you can.
