After Exposure - Keep It Going

Update:

I went to the gym this morning, and then ran a few errands because I knew what time the server was coming. I got home 30 min later than the server was supposed to be there, and my wife had left.

But apparently, the server saw me drive by a connecting road, and let my wife know. I saw my wife's car was still there, and didn't want to go in. and kept driving. So 10 min after I then got home my wife had pulled in with the server.

She came in the door and I said to her "Your server friend was supposed to be here 35 min ago". The look on her face was PRICELESS.

I then said to the server "You're late. I was going to call you and tell you to meet me somewhere while I was out. Your number is XXX-XXX-XXXX" The look on their face was PRICELESS too. I don't think they are used to dealing with equally or better matched people. I was calm, cool and collected, and had a smile on my face.

So I made one tactical mistake, and my wife ended up being there when I got the paperwork. It was just pure DUMB LUCK that they saw my car on the parallel street, as I ran a tactical avoidance pattern when looking at my house driveway.

My wife and the server then ended up talking outside for another 10 min, probably wondering just how I would know such information.

Still, my wife got what she wanted, to see me served. But I played poker right there with her, and I'm curious to see just how she spins this one to friends and family.

I'm also wondering if I now compromised my law enforcement contact, as I am sure the serving agency and her lawyer are going to demand just how I knew.

All in all after everyone left, my emotions just flooded in, and the bottom of my stomach dropped out and hasn't returned. Yeah, this all SUCKED big time, but I feel like I did exactly the right thing, and showed those two just who they were dealing with.
