I hope I handle myself as well in the next few weeks. It will be hard with the mediation and the hearing. I am not looking forward to it.

Journaling (Tuesday, August 3, 2010):

Well today was interesting.

I woke up at 5:45 am as usual. I got ready. I went in to check on S because he was saying help me. The blanket was bothering his toe that I accidently stepped on and he hurt climbing a tree. He eventually woke up and came and watched TV and ate some cereal. D was going to be woke up but W was talking to her, so I told she might as well get up. I had planned to let her sleep a little longer. I got her some cereal for breakfast too. I had them change and made their beds.

I let them play in their room, but they were in trouble for playing with the goldfish and spilling water everywhere.

I took them to the store, and I had them watch TV quietly because I did not want them to be in anymore trouble. It was just for the day. It was the first punishment they have had in awhile.

I cooked dinner because W came home about 7:00 pm tonight. I took kids to the $0.99 store tonight, and I bought a little something for them too. We came home, and the kids did a little contest, and they had W and I compete too. It was fun.

Oh, W was served some paperwork tonight. She was wondering if I took some quarters for laundry, because she said she got them for laundry only. I told her to count them.

Kids and I played for a while, and W spent a little bit of time with D. I gave pony rides to them on my back before bed, and I tucked them in. Of course, I had them brush their teeth. I will take them to a friends tomorrow too.

W seemed irritated by the paperwork I served her today. I don't care. She is so rude. I went in the bedroom, and she went in the bathroom to change. It is so strange because she never worried about changing with me around. I get it I think.

I do not worry about what W wants. I just do my thing, and she does hers.

Well...No goodbye from W this morning. She was very unhappy about the papers I had her served today.

This is hard to do this, but I have to do what is best for me and the kids.

I know things are going to be very tense in the next few weeks with mediation tomorrow and the hearing in less than 2 weeks time.

I am a little nervous with what happened in DanF's thread.

Don't get rushed into signing anything like Dan was. 5 minutes to approve a proposal???!! You got to yell "Stop" and let me read this and think about it.

DBing isn't always about making this easiest on everyone but doing what is right for yourself. If you don't like the mediation proposal, sobeit and contest it in court. It's harder and more costly, but if that is right for you then do it. Do not be pressured.

My W should be receiving paperwork any day now too. Interesting to see their reaction the full week after notification. I will keep watch on your tread.
