Has he proven that this is true? No contact letter written and given to you to send, transparency plan in place, access to all of his accounts (phone, email, cc statements), counseling session booked?
Don't even think about moving forward with him unless all of these things are in place. And then you can still take as much time as you need to think about if this is what you want to do. Trust me, piecing is hard work. You have to be mentally ready for it.
