If you've been following my sitch, you know I had several of my grandsons this weekend. The oldest, Ethan, is 9 years old.
While the younger ones have almost quit asking entirely, Ethan is suffering over where his Papa is.

After his little brother went to bed one night, he asked, "Where did Papa go and why?" I really didn't have a good answer for him. My H always acted like the sun rose and set in Ethan, now he's just disappeared from all their lives.

I've tried to set it aside, but, it's really weighing on my thoughts this evening. He's certainly old enough to be told at least some variation of the truth, but what? How?

Any grandmom's with insight out there??

My H has only seen his grandson's a couple of times. One time, grandson 4yrs, was here when H dropped in and all H did was say "hi buddy" and that was about it....grandson is young enough he didn't seem to be bothered but was so glad that SS and DIL did not see that...

Wish I had some insight for you but I don't...

Punkin,

Can you call GS's mom and dad and tell them he's asking about Papa?
See what they suggest telling him. That way you are all on the same page.

Good luck today Sweetie.

My daughter & her husband say he never mentions Papa around them. He hears enough of what's going on and feels the tension, so he just accepted Papa is not living with Grandma anymore.

Here, he especially misses his Papa. Going fishing, etc., the things they did together when he stayed with us. He understands but he doesn't understand, you know? And I hate to blow it off as "He'll understand when he gets older"

We all agree that if he isn't going to be a presence in their lives, it's better than just popping in and out when it suits him.

Just another casualty of his MLC, I Guess.

Maybe you could just tell GS that Papa had to leave to figure some things out for himself? If he asks like what, just tell him it's some grown up things.

Well, Ladies and Gentlemen, I did it. I went to the County Sheriff's Office and filed a complaint against OW for identity theft and fraud. They took down my complaint and faxed it over to the Prosecuting Attorney, who has ordered a complete background check.

I fought with myself over whether or not to do this, and came up with, If someone I didn't know had done this, even if my husband was living at home and she knew neither of us, would I let her get away with it? Nope.

I guess I better get back out and start digging my moat. Maybe put some crocodiles and sea serpents in it just for protection sake.

OH GET THIS. On Ow's Facebook page she printed " I'm the kind of girl your ex will hate, your friends will like, and your family will love." All I want to know is will she be lovely in an orange jump suit. ( Orange is the color they wear in jail around here )

Punkin,

Do yourself a favor and ditch checking out ow's FB page. You don't need it and she obviously is doing this to 'get to' you. Don't give her the satisfaction. The woman is delusional.

Thanks SA, but I don't do FB. It was my oldest daughter who told me that. She wanted to add a little something, but she's blocked. I know it was just spite, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING, will approach the satisfaction of her being charged with fraud. Sound a little spiteful? Well, a little spice makes the soup better.

Didn't get the info on the nails yesterday, the lady was out sick, supposed to be out today, also.

I suppose I'm back in anger stage. I was completely calm about things for the most part, but this has really set me off. Despite all the things I have read about MLC and what they are going through, it's still so hard to believe this is the man that I loved and cared for for twenty years with this brainless bimbo, throwing away his retirement.

Moving along, my grandson seems to be doing well, it's just when he is here that he has the questions, and the hurt. The sooner I'm out of this house, the better. Someplace that is truly and only GRANDMA's PLACE.

Everybody have a great day!
