on another topic, I have the TV on FitTV whenever it's on most of the time (I call this "subliminal programming"), but just now I noticed this ridiculous bowflex "tread climber" where they say the "easiest way to lose weight and stay in shape is to walk, and the easiest way to walk is on the Bowflex Treadclimber".

I thought the easiest way to walk was to walk?

Any advice anyone for cravings and how to handle them? This is my biggest problem.

Right now I have a craving for buttered popcorn and sour punch sticks and want to watch a movie. 2 things I really enjoy when watching movies.

I know official start date is not until tomorrow, but these cravings are part of what keeps me from reaching my goal of loosing that last 10 pounds.

Help!

I think about how much work it is going to take to work that kind of crap off, and then I grab a diet mountain dew or a diet red bull and go do some curls or something, and then I don't feel like eating crap anymore.

Ok ... here we are ... DAY ONE!

I weighed in at 166.6 which means I am adjusting my goal to 16.6 lbs in 6 weeks, or 2.8 lbs/week.

So, this week's goal is to get to 163.8 for next Sunday's weigh in.

Today's Plan
Active play with the kids
Family soft ball game with cousins from out of town
Watching portions
Drink lots of water

Everyone????? GAME ON!

Peace
PEI

Another great day at the gym. Mostly cardio. I quickly realized that it was my food intake and not enough cardio that was keeping me at maintaining my weight and not dropping.

It has helped so much to log everything I eat and count the calories. I know at the end of the day how much more I can eat or not eat. Last 2 days I have done great.

If I want to lose the 10 pounds in 12 weeks I can only eat 1569 calories a day, so my choices have to be good ones or up more exercise. Yesterday I had no problem hitting the calorie mark and I was not hungry, but made great choices.

I do need to up my water intake. Any suggestions?

Glam, drink as much water as you can stand, it keeps you hydrated, your mind sharp, and your belly full.

Well, I lost 6 pounds over three months. Not that much weight but I am a size 8, so I'm not going to worry about weight too much.

I did not look for the library DVDs yet; will do tomorrow.

I also realized I need to do the cardio o' the day; didn't hit it yet!
