Weigh In/Measurments: Depending on your goal pick a day of the week that works for you to check your progress. For example, if weight loss is your goal Sunday weigh in.
I find weighing daily is needed for me to keep focused. I have one of those biometric digital scales that approximately measures body fat % too, so the % body fat is a more important metric. Of course, just water in-take can cause fluxuations here, but... what can I say? The metrics keep me focused.
I also keep a calendar of my activities (#minutes, reps, so on), compare them to my activity goals, and adjust my goals as I become more ambitous.
