Saw Something's Gotta Give with my mom last night - the movie with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton - I laughed so hard I almost fell out of my seat. Definitely one to see with your girlfriends (okay, you guys out there can see it with your wives).

Did a 180 last night too. I had planned this movie date for this particular night because I thought my H was leaving yesterday for a business trip - turns out he doesn't leave until today. Kids had a lot of homework to work on last night - projects due, etc. And H got held up at work - didn't remember that I had said I was going out, and wasn't going to arrive home until just after I left. Now, in the past I would have dropped my plans with my mom in order to stay home and take care of the kids with their homework so H wouldn't have to deal with it on top of his work day; I'm pretty good at putting myself at the bottom of the priority list. But that's part of what got me into this mess in the first place, so I resisted the urge to accomodate, went out with my mom, had a great time at the movie. Yes, when I got home, everybody was stressed without me there, and I ended up having to stay up until one o'clock to get my PMSing D13 through her project and other homework she had procrastinated on - but that was okay. It's good for them to appreciate everything I do to keep this home running.
