Hi all, hoping I can join in the exercise support thread? Curious about the ab work - I was understanding that the only thing that can help one get 'six pack' abs is true 'clean eating' (ref: Tosca Reno). So I've all but given up on that one! Can't seem to give up my G&Ts or the odd potato chip(s). Thoughts anyone? Any way to achieve that - or at least close to it! - without having to adhere to such a strict diet? Thanks! PG.
I cannot complain for not receiving from others, that which I've never asked them for.
Hey PG! I'm a long way off, but I do know several people with 6 packs who don't eat clean. Healthy yeah, but not fanatically. As long as you get rid of the fat and do the work, they'll be there!
I'm with you ... the G&Ts are here to stay ... although I'm finally over the chips!

Hi PEI! Hey me too... it's still a distant dream, but one I've always wanted to try for, so it's great to hear I could potentially get there without having to empty my Bombay down the drain! And how on earth did you get over the chips... that's my absolute, utter junk-food downfall. Cheers!

Used to be mine too! I just stopped buying them ... cold turkey! LOL! Don't keep them in the house at all ... not for the kids, not for company ...
Ahhh... someone keeps sneaking them into our house. Must be the dogs. (teehee) I'll have to speak with them about that. But seriously, you were saying that you use the P90 videos? How do you like them? I've been doing a lot of cardio but I've got to get weight training again. That's my weak spot - love cardio but I get really bored doing weights. Thinking of getting a TRX but interested in hearing about other non-boring strength-training options too, if anyone has any suggestions!

Meh, strength training circuits don't have to be boring.
If you haven't been doing much in that line, you'd be suprised how some simple floor excercises and a couple different dumbell pairs can accomplish in very little time.
I spend 5-15 minutes a day on strength training these last 5 days in addition to my other routines. Lost over a pound a day.

Get out of town!? Seriously Time? Surely you must be watching your diet pretty carefully though, as well? And I know how often and how far you walk your dogs. Holy cow... I'm going to dust off my dumbells and get to it!
Oh PS! I've started a new thread! Poor dday, I'm sure he's getting tired of me hijacking his! Here's the link. Hugs to all...
Ok, who is up for a challenge? I say let's put some goals together for the next 12 weeks and see what we can accomplish. We can come here and post our progress, get encouragement, and help to stay on track.
