If you still want to use FB, simply change your settings to not show your marital status at all.
And yes, the problem with FB is that you will be tempted to check your partner's status etc all the time. I know....I still give in sometimes. But does it really matter that my WAW status says "married" but she lives in her own apartment? It might as well say she's a pink porcupine.
