I just read HOLD ME TIGHT w/my husband. It is for healing as a couple...I wouldn't recommend it for you right now. It is based around healing conversations in a marriage. Better communication and resolution of past hurts. It is full of couples exercises. In fact, it depressed the HE11 out of me until my H decided to pick it up and read too.
It is an excellent book, but save it to read in your next R in my opinion. You might check out one recommended by many LBSs here called The Journey from Abandonment to Healing. I hear it was one of the most beneficial reads. NOT EASY material, but the most productive toward healing.
BTW, I'm REALLY sorry you lost your dog at such a trying time. We're dog people too and I know how difficult it is at the end. We had to put our favorite dog down about a year ago at a similarly low point in our lives and the double whammy was really tough to take. Love on your other ones and do special things with them...take them to Dairy Queen and/or the park. And take care of yourself in the face of all of this. Channel that mojo you found a couple of weeks ago. K???
