Well I guess he put on his thinking cap and figured out how to save the day. Dan just called a few minutes ago: "Just fyi, I am headed with the kids to coco keys (waterpark inside hotel) for the night.
I said, "OK sounds good." Then he just sat there, didn't say anything. Sheesh next time just text me don't hang on the phone! So I commented that it had been rainy here at the end of the yard sale, he said it poured last night and he took down the campsite literally at 2 am to take the kids to town for a motel. Then he said it is supposed to storm again tonight thus the hotel. I said, "OK have fun!" And again, he just hung on the phone? So I said, "Talk to you later, bye." And then he took the hint.
I don't know what his deal was. He didn't owe me an explanation for his time with the kids I was under the impression they were traveling all over western Iowa camping and visiting his two sisters so the kids could have Cousin Time. And he could/should have just texted. It was weird, I don't know why but I got the distinct impression he was wanting me to invite myself up to the waterpark. But, I didn't.
Oh and Teacher Guy just emailed. I have been wondering a bit about him as he is giving off "He's Just not That Into You" vibes. I haven't pursued, I reply when he emails but it's only about once a week. He had mentioned wanting to meet up once our schedules aligned. Well, I was busy with my class and conference. Then he took his high school business kids to Nashville. They got back last Saturday and I wondered why I hadn't heard from him this week. Just got an email and he is in Louisiana on Reserve Duty. So I thought it sweet that he emailed from there. I am sure he is busy enough as it is. I think we will meet up when he gets back. I didn't realize he was also a "man in uniform"
