punkin,

The pillow beating really do work. I consideered getting a punching bag, but i really don't need more "stuff" in my life. However, if you have access...

Quote:
You know, I DO forgive my H for what he's done to me. He is mentally unstable and alcoholic on top of that, but my anger is his treatment of my children and grandchildren, or in their case, non-treatment. SA, you called me Mama-Bear the other day, and you are right where they are concerned.

I would have said the same thing fairly early on and I could get angry at H b/c of D's, but not for me. In my case, I was angry for me too, it just took me awhile to deal with it. I get the Mama-bear thing, I have that gene too. I was just angrier for me than I realized.

It's too bad about his career, but I guess like everything, he'll have to live with the consequences.

Hey Punkin are you on the alt?

One of my favorite shows on TV is "Army Wives".
I guess you are one IRL.

One other suggestion if you don't like beating up pillows is to go take a long walk somewhere, then out in the woods or alone and SCREAM at the top of your lungs. It really can make you fell much better.

I'm definitely one IRL. Twenty plus years of RL. And I don't think I'm bragging or exaggerating when I say no soldier ever climbed the ladder of success without a good soldier's wife behind him. Unfortunately, behind him is where he plans to leave me when he retires.

On the bright side, the Army also realizes this, and I get to take half of his pension with me, along with Medical Insurance for the rest of my life, and whatever else I can come up with.

I've never watched the show Army wives, I was afraid it would be too soapy for me. Excitement is rarely a weekly event. It's usually extra responsibility and boredom. Always waiting for them to come back from somewhere.

Don't misunderstand, I am standing. For my family and myself, and for the man my husband used to be before he was abducted by aliens and probed.

Screaming is easy, I live in the woods next to the National Forest. I have found writing nasty letters and burning them to be a pleasant experience. It'd probably be more pleasant to burn them in the leather seats of his truck.

Yeah, but if you do it in the house, the alarms go off.

LOL! Well then, Mr. Fireman, how do you burn letters in the house without setting off the fire alarms?

BTW, got hit on by a self professed Cajun Construction worker who fell off a roof and "wasn't even drunk when I did it". Thought my class ring was my wedding ring, Thank God. Just some of the prize winning professional types I attract.

I think you took a wrong turn at "BURNING them IN the HOUSE"

Just my take on it though.
