NEVER ask if they've had contact with OM, until such time as you are RECONCILING. She'll only lie to you anyway, and it serves no purpose other than to annoy her.
As for how to act, HAPPY, yes. SMALL TALK ... eh, not so much. Be civil. Treat her like you would the mailman, or a guest in your home.
