If you didn't install the crap it was trying to sell you, you are probably ok... even without the restore.
I didn't install it, didn't accept the offer to buy it...so I think I will be okay. Just need to do a system restore to an earlier date or let the IT do some sort of scan to debug anything that may be affected. I just hate telling our IT because I was using it for facebook, and let Nathan install an Avatar-Airbender game on it (not part of 'school use', is it? )...I am sure I am not the only one to use it for personal stuff but I was going to uninstall all that stuff before back to school time!
Oh, and miracles DO happen! I took a load of stuff from the garage over to storage. Then texted Dan in friendly manner, per counselor's suggestion: "Hey, trying to do all out assault on garage and basement before school starts up again. I know you are going to Canada this week but after that feel free to come over and get anything you want to keep."
He replied back immediately, "I was planning to get my tools while you guys are gone to Chicago." He proceeded to stop by, again a surprise visit, a few minutes later to kiss kids goodbye on the way to the airport. I pointed out a few more things to him ("I kept your grandma's antique table in the basement here, didn't want to risk it in storage but make sure you don't forget it", etc) and he said he understood, I would want car in garage so it doesn't get hailed on, iced on, etc. So small steps, yay!
Now, back to cleaning out toy room with kids in preparation for yard sale...
