Lessons learned at every bend

Well guys, I think this is not working.

H came home at 9:30 pm with a story about how busy he was. He went to bed immediately and did not have dinner (he had only had a hamburger at noon). I thought I smelled alcohol in his breath but it could be anything... my old reliable sense of smell is missing in action. Anyway, I was cheery and acted 'as if'

At midnight we got a call from a 'private caller' He did not answer. A few seconds later he gets a page 'from work.' He answers and talks to someone apparently but when he goes to the closet to get dressed I press re-dial and the number he had dialed is his pager's answering system.

I asked him where he had called and he said 'the answering system' (but he had faked a work-related conversation). I let it be.

I had apologized for the TG mess, much on the lines of my prior post, but he did not say anything and changed the topic. I let it be.

Then neither him nor I were sleepy, so he proposed we watched a DVD. I proposed an alternate , and we did . Then we started to watch the movie (Terminator 3).

Towards the end he gets another page and goes to the bathroom to answer. Then he gets dressed and says he is going to work, he has an emergency in such place and he'll follow through so that he is done early. He kisses me and goes (I made sure his ring was on this time). But on re-dial this time the phone number he dialed is for another place, not the one he is supposed to be going...

He has just called from the other place he's supposed to be at... not the last one he called...

I guess my intuition of something not right was working after all

Why on earth would he not let me alone if he wants to be with OW? He can have his D any day!@!
