Made a roundtrip drive yesterday to drop a load of our things back at the house since it won't all fit in my car at once. H offered to take the dog so I dropped him off as well. H texted me the night before leaving asking to let him know when I arrive so he could come and help me. I responded later with 'Thanks, but it'll be quick and I can handle it. Goodnight.' My Dad accompanied me down to help out. The house was taken care of and it looked like H had just mowed the lawn. I unpacked our things and headed back out. I texted H to say I was done and that our cat was loud (he meows a lot for attention). He responded soon after and said the cat yells at him every day and to drive safe.
So I think we're in a good place headed into my return next weekend. H is spending the weekend at our friends lake house. I had planned to attend this annual event but I had previously committed to a girls weekend on Lake Erie. I'll probably officially return home Sunday night. I must say that it was so nice to be back in my home...it just felt right
