The gloaming

Just another tidbit posted for anyone who follows in my footsteps:

I really debated whether to post this at all. It's such a curiosity, and judging from the fact that my xw has just flat-out dropped off the face of the earth in all respects, it's probably not even her......

Still.

One morning, several weeks back before the July 4th holiday, I was leaving my home to go to work. I have a set of rose bushes that grow next to my door, along the front of my place. As I was locking my door, I looked at the rose bush next to me and made a mental note that the two dead roses on the top of it really looked bad, and that I ought to do something about it after I get back from work.

I come back from work to find that that section of my rose bush has been pruned off. I asked later, and to my surprise, neither of my neighbors, nor my parents had come by and done this.

It could have been somebody else, and if my xw's behavior is any indicator, it probably was.

But most people want LIVING roses- even if they only wanted a cutting to start their own plant, there were other plants and sections with living blooms...What gives? The world may never know.
