Your reply should have been "Why is OM still contacting you to say 'good morning'?? Did you tell him to stop contacting you, and that you were working on your marriage? You need to send him a no-contact letter, so we can work on us, without his interference."
I TOLD you this couldn't be done incrementally. You're rapidly losing your leverage, and this is what happens when you don't do it the correct way.
