Your ex would not need to know your account number to do this. You can set up a blind account number (sort of like how you can with Visa when you online shop).

I read what you stated previously about the checks coming later and later. Maybe he is going broke, maybe he is f'ing with you or maybe he is just a first class ass. There really is no way to know.

If he is not following his legal obligation you know what to do. My H contacts me when he has a fight with his mistress, is board, tipsy or feeling guilty.

They do this because they are hot messes. And yes, "hot mess" is the technical term! smile

I love you guys. smile

Thanks for listening to my sh!t.

Ok, here's the deal:

I am confused, pissed, etc, because he made such a big f*cking deal about bringing the first check over so it wouldn't be late. Then, over the past year and a half, the checks were arriving incrementally later and later until it has gone beyond the pale.

Do you know how hard it is to be reinstated by COBRA once you miss a payment? It is impossible! It can't be done. And those payments are due ON THE 1st OF THE MONTH!!!

Oh, dear, I'm yelling again.

Oh no....does the fact that I am having such a strong reaction to his lame-ass antics mean that I might still love the c*ck-sucking, motherf*cking, p!ss-poor excuse for a decent human being, bleeding carbuncle on the stank-@ss of the world?

And here I thought I was well on my way in my exciting, wondrous, sweet-smelling journey; gliding in slow motion... lustrous hair, perfectly wind-blown; my professionally done highlights catching the rays of sun just so.... onward....onward toward my bright, sparkly, shiny new life.....

Bullsh!t.

Me either.

I thought I would have been healed by now, not still having to think about the @sshole.

It can take quite a bit of time to heal completely.

Unfortunately, even when the ex is, (as you so eloquently put it), a "c*ck-sucking, motherf*cking, p!ss-poor excuse for a decent human being, bleeding carbuncle on the stank-@ss of the world",

you may still have to feel and grieve the loss of what you had, or what you thought you had.

Oh, Kimmie. Sometimes it would be nice not to have feelings, wouldn't it? But the rest of the time, that would suck. smile

Hope you get the check soon. Hugs. Or, rather, high-fives as we each run toward each other in the meadow full of wildflowers, big grins on our faces, all girl-powered up. wink

LOL!! Yes, running in that very arty slow-motion....

Ya know, BBJ, I have been so fierce and judgmental with my "advice" lately. For that, I apologize.

And now I have just a teeny taste of the complications in dealing with an ex. I thank god every day that I don't have kids with him. It's probably why I thought it would be smooth sailing once I cut off all contact with him.

And maybe it will be once the last check has been received.
