Most people are walking with somebody, their spouse or girl/boyfriend or they're with their kids. Then there's me and the odd elderly person walking alone.
Yep, happens to me too and it's why I need that partner in life. I'm not the lone wolf type.

It's the bittersweetness of summer I guess. As I said before, we used to do things every weekend together as a family and if I had time alone it was a very special time indeed! Now, it's the norm to have time alone, sometimes it's great and sometimes not so great. Today was OK but it's a long day when you don't have any plans.
Same here wii, I always got the family out of the house on the weekends to do something, anything. Now I can't even force myself out because I just don't feel motivated. It's how I am on the weekends I don't have DD. I also know if I stay home I'll never meet someone either but even that doesn't motivate me. I guess I don't really know where to go.
Wish I had some advice but alas I can only relate.

Oh heck Romeo, I go out all the time, even when I don't want to! Let's see, there are movies (yes, I go alone), festivals (in my city anyway), sporting events, bookstores, parks, driving aimlessly to a place I've never been before and explore, church activities, baseball games, shopping malls (offer to carry bags for the ladies, I call it the "Bags for Babes Program" OK, I don't really do this, but you can be the first to start a chapter in your city or town!), go to AA meetings just for the coffee (OK, don't do that either)...I digress. Anyway, don't worry about getting out there to meet women, just get out there to stay sane. I too find it harder when I don't have my girls, not that they normally go anywhere with me anyway but... It's hard when you're alone and you weren't alone, in my case, for 17 years. But, what is is. I forgot this one, you can go to Dairy Queen for a Peanut Buster Parfait! Unfortunately, that's off my diet plan too.
I had a really nice day as my Dad and brother went out of town to see a baseball game. We dropped my mom at her sisters, who lives in that city, and we went to the game. When we arrived at the ball park I realized that another aunt and uncle used to live across the street, I can remember the park from when I was a child! Later after the game we picked up Mom and my Aunt and we all went for dinner. Beautiful weather, lovely ball park and enjoyable company. I'm glad I went. I'm now stretching out my back and shoulders as I did all the driving. Btw, Happy July 4th tomorrow to my American DB friends!
Just talked to my kids, I asked D16 if I could talk to D13 and she said she wasn't sure she wanted to talk right now as "Mommy just went off on her". So good to see wife is back to her old self, yelling at the kids. As usual she probably wore herself out this weekend and is now blasting the kids at the slightest provocation. Btw, kids and I are going to Toy Story 3 tomorrow, does Buzz really show his feminine side? Time will tell, won't it!
Hope you're doing well wii...your kids are lucky to have you as a dad. Must be so nice to have your family close by i.e. mom/dad/sibs.

We went to the 3D version, I splurged! We all enjoyed it very much, D16 said she almost cried at the end when Andy was giving the toys away. I never came close. Both D's said it was the best Toy Story movie of the three. I think all three are great!
