Just got in, eh!! I went out of town to a BBQ at a friends place. For twenty years our three families have been friends and have raised our kids together. Wife invited me to go a few days ago and I decided I'd like to see our friends on Canada Day. We had a really nice visit, I miss them sometimes. I mentioned to one of them that I've been up there way a few times in the past few weeks and she gave me sh!t for not dropping in to see them. Another friend is going through the liver detox too, and she hates every minute of it...then she fell asleep on a couch. Anyway, I had a great day and now I'm at home watching three down Canadian football, our season starts today! Thanks for dropping by Dbers!
Well, it's day #7 of liver detox and I'm still tired. I went to my Chiropractor for an adjustment today and she told me that it's normal to feel zonked for this long if it's your first detox, she does it a couple of times a year. She said the liver is cleansing itself of all the toxins that have built up for years. She told me NOT to run or do any type of aerobic exercise but just do a bit of Yoga, rest and drink water. I think yesterdays nine hour outing maybe took a bit out of me too. So, today I rest and tomorrow I'm going out of town for the day with my Dad and brother to see a baseball game. Now, I think it's time to lie down for snooze. I'm loving this...NOT! How is this good for me again?
BBJ, there are different methods of detoxing, but the one I'm using is a capsule three times a day. They contain...wait for it...Parsley, Beet, Dandelion root,Uva-ursi leaf, Cascara Sagrada bark...that's it. Just a bunch of concentrated plant life! It's supposed to suck all the toxins out of your liver and rejuvenate you. We'll see! I've got 21 days to go. My friend last night said she was quitting, she couldn't take it and she does it twice per year. If it continues to drag me down for a few more days I'll talk to the Naturopath and pack it in too! Just think, all this for only $22.99 per bottle, get yours today! Kat, they actually suggest you start to do this on a weekend or when you have a few days off. Fun wow!
I have just returned from an outing to the park, it was a beautiful day and I sat on a bench beside the pond and just tried to enjoy. Again, when I go to the park it's a mixed feeling I come away with. I enjoy the beauty but also notice all the couples and families while I sit alone by myself. Most people are walking with somebody, their spouse or girl/boyfriend or they're with their kids. Then there's me and the odd elderly person walking alone. It's the bittersweetness of summer I guess. As I said before, we used to do things every weekend together as a family and if I had time alone it was a very special time indeed! Now, it's the norm to have time alone, sometimes it's great and sometimes not so great. Today was OK but it's a long day when you don't have any plans. I did some grocery shopping and went to the chiro this morning and stopped off to get some Chinese buns to take to the ballgame tomorrow. Now, I'm sitting here typing with an optical migraine, which is really freaky because you have no pain but your vision gets messed up, for example, I can't read part of what I'm typing. I get these every few months and they go away in 15 minutes to half an hour, sometimes in one eye and sometimes, like today, in both. Thank goodness I'm not driving! The glare of the sun most likely caused it. So, I'll sit back and wait for it to lift. Tonight I'll watch a bit of football and relax in my bachelor pad I picked up some Sushi on the way back, which probably violates my diet which only allows brown rice...tough titty! Hey, my vision just cleared up...hooray!!!
