Okay guys, I'm not ready to throw in the towel and sign divorce papers, but I do feel I need to protect myself here. Military + 20 years = 50% of retirement pay. My H will also be receiving 100% Disability in addition to his retirement, and is eligible to apply for Social Security Disability besides. I plan to also ask for Maintainence.
Is it kosher to seek a settlement agreement even though you are not ready to sign divorce papers? The thing is, I can hold over his head that I can cross complain on grounds of adultery, and can list up to 6 witnesses. He'd rather die first. Any experts on Military Divorce out there? How about any lawyers?
