I'm glad your kids still call your H even though he doesn't always answer. Seriously! He does call back.

Is your D's birthday on the 3 or 4th?

YES the party counts as a 180! lol! Do you have to plan any games or cook?

Hi CW - I see that you had a very busy Weekend...how was the party?

When the kids call and H doesn't answer, do they leave him a voice-mail? And does he return their calls? Just curious...

Oh CW, I hate those kind of parties, too! It counts as a big 180, in fact as far as I'm concerned it counts for two of them!!! lol

My DIL went to one of those parties and she asked me if we could host one. Yeah, I guess. frown lol! Anyway, I'll be doing the same thing pretty soon.

The party I'm getting ready for now though is D's grad party. Lots of cleaning and cooking to be done. I'm getting excited about it. Love having lots of people for such a special event! smile In fact, if anyone's in the area on July 17, stop on by, would love to have you! smile

NM...All I had to do with the party was have it at my house and have some snacks! I really wanted to use that recipe (the tomato one) that you sent but went with choclate covered strawberrie instead cuz they were on slae and D11 dipped them for me! She had the guests play a game.

D11's birthday is on the 4th!

Mila...good to hear from you! H does not always call them back...D11 will leave a VM but S14 won't always...

SA-2 180's yeah! Would love to come to your D's grad party! smile

haha, CW! I don't know if kids would have liked the tomato filo tart! I didn't know you were cooking for kids!

Well an Independence Day baby, huh? I was big and pregnant still last year on the 4th...S was born 2 days later!

Have you always celebrated her bday on the 4th with fireworks and all? Meaning we have a party with our extended family for S and I guess he and I will celebrate his actual day. Or he and WH...whoever has him?

NM-Oh, there were only a couple of kids, D11 and a friends D13 and one of my grandkids! It was a jewelry party!

D11 was due July 1st so was hoping to be home watching fireworks on the 4th with her but was in labor in the hospital instead!!!

D11's birthday it seems it always spent somewhere but home! Her first b-day, H went to help his sis move, another one, H was with SS in CA when he got back from Iraq, last year we were in CO on vacation and got back just in time for fireworks so usually it is with family and then if she wants to have friends over, we do that on a different day.

Will be interesting to see what happens this year. The place where H works shuts down for a week over the 4th so he really has no excuse to not see the kids sometime this next week.

Speaking of H, let him use the truck to take the mower to mow at rental and the b-turd used my gas so I will now have to get some tomorrow before I go to work. Grrrr

He switched vehicles where I work and I guess he was switching back about the time a friend/client of mine and I were on our way to the local cafe for lunch and I didn't even see him but thought I heard my little car start up...I didn't even turn around to look to see for sure. When we got back to the shop, my co-worker said that it was H and that he was sure watching me walk down the sidewalk before he got in the vehicle....I am truly amazed that I didn't even notice or even think to look that way!!!!

AWESOME!!!! haha! I bet he totally expected you to turn around!

About your D11 not being home on her Bday- as long as they get some attention for their special day, and eventually celebrate it at home, I bet kids are happy, right?

Do you think your H will say "uh oh, I forgot to refill the gas on your truck!" or not? I read that and for some reason got a flash thought of "he will acknowledge the gas later" for some reason! But you know him and I don't, so do you think it is likely?

Maybe in one of his lucid moments...:)

Excellent question. Reading through other people's threads, it would seem so; those infrequent peeks out of the tunnel. For me, I wonder how many lucid moments pop into their heads on a daily basis, the ones they keep hidden from the ow/om? They pulled it off with us, it stands to reason they are still doing it, doesn't it?
