CW,

Like I said about people in small towns, what they don't know about the sitch, they'll make up. lol

I figure if they have nothing better to do than talk about my sitch I feel sorry about the type of life they must lead (boring).

Like you said CW, you know the truth. That's all that matters.

Have fun!!!

CW-
people seem to like to blame the wife when the husband leaves. And when you are a kind, respectful person, it doesn't make sense to them. In fact, it scared all of my friends when I tld them my stbxh cheated because it made them think "WOW if it happened to newmama, it could happen to me!"

So I think they make up some kind of explanation....like the crazy one you heard! Yep, laughing it off and holding your head high sound like the solution to this one!

I am just being silly here and am NOT SUGGESTING you say these liners to anyone! But am amusing myself at responses you could imagine giving:

"Well actually, I didn't have a drinking problem until AFTER he left me for the woman!" (ba dum bump cha!)

"No, I don't have a boyfriend, but if you can set me up with someone, let me know!" (ba dum bump cha!)

"Yeah I had a problem- not enough alcohol to deal with his cheating!" (ba dum bump cha!)

"No boyfriend, and no husband for that matter either!" (ba dum bump cha!)

Ok I hope these were okay to say and not over the top!

Thanks SA! Yes, small towns although this was from a co-worker of H's so he and OW are trying to justify their affair.

NM! I love the one liners! My friend and I did joke a little last night after my cell phone rang and she asked who it was and I said my BF...we laughed.

The bad thing is, is that my friend said this in front of DIL...DIL was pissed big time about the rumor! My friend apologized today for telling me in front of DIL as she had seen her reaction.

Went to the "celebration" in the park tonight..oh man was it hot and humid! Chased kids around and then a couple of friends and I went to the beer garden...I had 2 cups of beer....hopefully that is not a problem!!! lol

CW,

Sounds like you're GALing very well. Good for you! Glad you were able to vent here and not to H.

Thank you for your kind words, even if they were said "tongue in cheek". Kindness is always appreciated and you seem like a very kind person. Thanks.

Hi Confused,

I have a question for you. Mind you this is not in any way a citicism, just curiosity. You are not the only one to express this this way. If your husband has filed, and I assume you don't want a D, why do you call them the STBXH? I understand that you can't stop anyone who truly wants a divorce from getting one, but does this signal that you are accepting of his decision regarding your life? Have you stopped standing? Again, I am not being critical, just inquisitive.

Thanks

That is a great question punkin! I have actually been thinking of changing it back to WAH or H. I have been reading a lot on the power of positive thinking and by using stbx I am expressing negative thoughts!

In fact, I think I will do that right now! smile

I was posting on your thread at the same time you were on mine!

Hey SA! Doing good! Busy, busy weekend! Busy day today cleaning and getting ready for a party, my DIL is starting to sell something so I told her I'd have a party (I HATE having parties so could this count as a 180?) Then, remembered that I still needed to clean the shop where I work so just got back from that....phew!!!!

D11 called H late Sat. night to tell him she went on a scary carnival ride...he didn't answer but did call back in the a.m. Then she tried calling him again this morning, no answer, no call back. Her birthday is this weekend...will be interesting to see what happens!
