My problem is, H's laptop and cell are both properties of the company he works for, so I'm not sure I can legally do anything about intel on those.
I'm not an attorney, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once. I would assume that NO, you CANNOT legally install keylogging software (or anything else) on the laptop or the cellphone ITSELF, nor in any way attempt to misrepresent yourself to get their billing records.
HOWEVER, what's being proposed here is DIFFERENT -- capturing screenshots via the in-home internet router, not the laptop.
