I meant she will be old enough to leave and do as she pleases thus gaining her freedom. I doubt if this emancipation thing will fly ... your XH is just playing games. I also think she needs to seek help; to tell someone else in authority what is going on. This man is clever enough not to leave physical marks, but he sure leaves emotional and psychological marks ... she needs to speak and let it all out even if they can't do anything about it.
