I know exactly how you feel. I'm the same way. Go to the shore of Long Island Sound often, about five miles away from here (Southern Connecticut).

When I'm particularly pensive, I need to drive the hour or so to Southern Long Island itself and immerse all my senses in the expanse of the Atlantic and all that ocean, sand, and sky.

You'll be fine. You be all business, too, and get it over, done with, and (the beginnings of) behind you.

All business doesn't have to mean cold and emotionless. Just stay on the factual level. And the your-best-interests-level.

FYI: (and others here may tell you the same) I was business-like at my divorce finale, relieved and quite calm. For the drive home, too. But I walked into the house and it all swept over me. Towel-sobbing time.

Peace,

Gardener
