Spent the morning sweating half my bodyweight out inside a bunny suit during a chem/bio/rad/nuc/exp exercise in the most glorious sunshine. We all had a lot of fun with the bouncy castle tents as well.
Then a very warm but pleasant afternoon with the sMIL and 2 of her daughters in their garden, sipping tea, muching on nice food and generally discussing life and the universe. Apparently the OW looked ridiculous in tiny hot pants when she visited with the STBXW, and the sMIL was secretly laughing to herself knowing full well that she was about to get nettled to death on the path over to the farm after leaving their house. That made me grin too. As did the sMIL reconfirming that the OW is in fact 32 and not the 42 she actually looks. All music to my ears. They told a lot of lies to the sMIL in that visit including about the timing of their relationship (sMIL has been party to pretty much all the evidence I gathered) but neither said a bad word about me apparently. sMIL is sure it will all fall apart soon as she sees them as very badly suited also. sMIL is adamant that the STBXW is obviously incapable of truly serious emotional involvement, despite talking the talk about it for those years she was with me.
And as a positive end to today I've just bought my own bodyweight in beer and snacks to take to the wonderful Glastonbury Festival, which I attend each year. Love it to bits, and looking forwards to catching up with the rest of the medical crew which after 12yrs of festivals together, are like family to me. And some fabulous live music of course!
Positive sunny thoughts to everyone.
