Personal choice about the ring, but if you decide to take it off then leave it off until things are back on solid ground. I hate seeing someone play with it....on then off...on then off. That on & off sends a louder message than leaving it alone, IMO.
Just don't get real stressed out about the ring, okay? It is a symbol. The real MR is what to concerned yourself with.
It is not about what you feel should work in your M. It is about doing the work that gets the right results. Do what works!
