Yes. Pretty much every place built after the 50s does. I'm cheap though, so I only set it to 78 lol. The insulation is pretty good though, so I don't have to turn it on unless it's going to break 90 outside. If it's cooler than that it'll never get over 80 inside. I also have a ceiling fan in the living room. Want to put one in the master bedroom too.
I am also looking to plant a couple trees and get a little more shade going.
My brother did help. He wielded the sledgehammer, I had the pickax and shovel. We got it done in less than 2 hours, then moved inside. Luckily it only got up to like 85 that day. He then helped me finish painting the kitchen (I decided to keep going with the orange ("October Bronze") and paint the second wall. Then we kicked back and had some chips and guacamole, cheese and crackers, fruit, and iced tea and watched some movies.
It's gonna take me about 2 weeks to get rid of the concrete though LOL. My trash can weighs like 150 lbs right now! I put some in my neighbor's bin, but even so I'll have to wait til after pick-up tomorrow AM then fill it up again. LOL
