So I'm thinking let all calls go to voice mail and answer by text message ONLY if she asks something in the voice mail. Answer like 2 hours later if there is a question. No question - no response. So if she calls and leaves a message like "Just checking on Calla", no question, no reply. If she asks, "How is Calla", 2 hrs later text "Calla is a-ok". Be mysterious from now on. It will rattle her cage.

Do something totally FUN with your daughter today! Something that she will be still squealing about when W finally does get home: "Daddy and I did x, y, z! It was sooooo much fun, Mommy!" Let her see that life does NOT stop just b/c she would like to put you guys on ice while she fools around.
