How do you meet someone?

I just started talking to a woman today on a site called Okcupid. Although I would rather meet someone in my everyday life, the online dating is easy. What if I don't like them after meeting them though? Meeting in person first would keep that from happening. I don't know. I know that at this point I am only talking to women online because I miss female attention. I am not sure how ready I am for a true relationship.
