I got an email from my atty this morning saying that H only shows $700 on last paycheck instead of the usual $1,500. I called his boss to ask her if he's been working, but she was very mean to me, saying, I can't discuss any of this with you etc. etc.

Well, I'm shaking now. He's trying to get out of paying temp support. Has anyone had experience with H and his employer trying to show he has no work, and getting out of support payments.

Please respond.

thanks, p

legally his boss can't give you any information

I would think it was legit as no company is going to take a fall for someone (or at least I have never heard of that)

if his paychecks really aren't cut in half and they issue one saying that it is then they face huge federal and state fines

I would think that that is really what he is making right now
doesn't mean that is what he will always make
but that is what he is making now

your attorney should be able to get the info from his employer

Thanks for answering.

I truly believe my mind is beginning to play tricks on me.

A friend said there are hundreds of ways his employer can hide the money from his paycheck. She gave an example of how they can just give him a company gas card. If he has a gas card, etc., he can spend literally hundreds of dollars a week, going back and forth to his gf's house, let her use his truck for her "business" and even get proceeds from her "business."

And my atty, myself and the judge will never be the smarter for it.

Also, I found out he makes calls several times a month to his credit card companies. People are telling me he could be checking his balance because he's letter her use them. To me, that would be stupid because my atty will have access to that.

The better idea might be, he's putting money on a prepaid card for her, but how can we find out about that?

Any thoughts?

things are based on how much money he makes...what he pays taxes on.

if his company gives him a gas card as a perk you can't really demand that he not use it or the company vehicle

it is doubtful that his business would simply let him use a company vehicle or gas card for whatever he wanted

they are regulated and everything needs to be accounted for because the company needs to pay taxes on that stuff too as it is considered part of their business

who he lets use the credit cards in his name are none of your concern

unless he is asking you to pay half...he can let the neighbor charge 7500 in tulips on his card...he is responsible for paying for them

and

any reputable credit card company would not give you information on how many times he called them

he may be putting money on a card for her but that doesn't change how much money a month he is making

Money Update:

Had a 45 minute talk with my atty yesterday. H has sent over an IRA withdrawal application for me to sign. My atty only agreed if he opens a separate account with a checking account so we can see everything he's spending it on. Money in, money out.

The withdrawal is for $17K with $4 going to her, $2 going to me, $5 going to his atty, $3 going to the IRS and $3 going to him. What she doesn't know is that he called a credit card activation number this morning. Wonder how she'll react when she finds out.

My question is how this is going to effect distribution? My atty says it won't effect me at all because there is a stipulation somewhere that says so. (But I know it has to in some way, if only for the fact that he will be $17 less rich). Are there any accountants on these boards?

What are you doing to keep your spirits up, Poet. It's hard to do when you're going through this stuff, I know, but it's the best medicine. Keep looking after you as best you can! smile
