Just got papers. H filed for simple D. The year isn't up and nothing else has been finalized so I'm not sure if it can be pushed through by him. I'm home sick and got the letter....
I feel so sad and my heart is aching again.
Why does he have to be one of the ones to push things through?
I am so sad.

It was quite the shock considering I was already feeling sick with a stomache bug...
And that was the point I think... One less button he can push...
There's a pattern to this... I figured out he filed the day after I sent him the nice email telling him I solved the house issue...his retaliation for no longer being able to hold his signature over my head..
The date stamp on the registered letter was yesterday... The first business day after I wouldn't back down and give up my plans...
One trigger made him file, another to send it... One positive and one negative interaction both getting a reaction from him.
Any interaction seems to affect him, otherwise his procrastinating butt wouldn't bother... Or OW is pushing...
Double checked my facts and his filing at this time was useless as unless I agree, he can't finalize this until the one year is up. So that leaves it dead in the water for another 4 months.

DG, My WH filed the day after he found out I had given his deceased Mom's engagement ring, which he had given ME, to his son to hold for his Granddaughter. He acted like I had put it on Ebay. He said it was not mine to give. She may not be my blood but she is MY granddaughter too. I thought I was doing the 'right' thing. What you said about triggers is absolutely correct.
Don't give up, yet. It may be just his way of 'showing you'. You can contest a divorce and hold it up for a reasonable time. That's what I'm doing, and he has to pay the household bills in the meantime.
