Well, the hamster made it through the night and is now off to STBX's for the remainder of her days. You gotta love hamsters, even though she's on her last legs she's still stashing food away and trying to get into her ball to roll around the floor. She managed to get into the ball and moved it about six inches. Poor thing, we'll miss her. She's been part of our family for almost two years. She even let me stroke her...without biting me, she must be sick!

Hey, come to think of it, she reminds me of myself in the last few years of my marriage!

For a number of years, we had a few iterations of two female rats along with our dogs. Female rats do not have the smell problem male rats seem to have and they are very affectionate - the kids, W and I did not mind having them walk on us. Sadly, W took the rats with her when she moved out and the last one died a couple of months ago. The kids say her place is a lot more lonelier without having the rats around and that is a shame...

Well, I just got home from the evening church service. For the first time since I was 12 I went up to kneel at the alter and pray. Tonight was an anointing service and I decided to go up and ask for physical and emotional healing. The Pastor kneeled down with me, anointed my forehead with oil and prayed a lovely personal prayer about my situation, as he knows my story. When we finished he hugged me and said "I'm here for you, brother" I almost cried...almost!
