PEI want to know the difference between hope and false hope?
Nothing except the outcome.
Hope 'becomes' or is seen in retrospect as false hope if you didn't get the outcome you wanted AND it is only classified as false hope by a bitter person who did nothing except hope.
Hope is nothing more that yearning or want for a desired result.

How about hope vs denial? The same as above?
I would have to say not! You can hope AND face the current realities of your sitch ... denial is just that, denial about where you are, the journey you're on, the sitch you're in, the stuff going on around you, etc...
