My wife did not want the marriage but she stayed because she made a "vow" and for the kids. In the last years of our marriage she became very angry at being trapped in something she didn't want to be in, she resented me and showed it regularly. I stayed because I wanted to win her back and keep our family together, it was an incredibly difficult few years. Now that I'm not in her hair day in and day out she has breathing space and can treat me in a more respectful and humane manner. She herself said to me "I don't know how you lived through what I put you through, I couldn't have done it" So now we have our own spaces and spend some family time together and that's about it. She has her other R, which is with another woman but it's not sexual, they just love each other...figure that one out!
